Brzeg has the agreements of partnership with two towns in Europe - German Goslar (since 7 May 2000) and Czech Beroun (since 21 May 2002). The partnership cooperation obviously involves the development of cultural, social and economic relations between the partner towns. The co-operation with both towns is developing very well. It involves not only the official level, but also the level of individual schools, or institutions (i.e. the fire brigade, the culture centre), and private contacts.
